Peninsula Daisy-bush
Olearia Sp.2

Some years ago now a mysterious and lonely plant in the Jan Juc heathland stood as the solo representative of a possible unique hybridisation between two Olearia species. Producing infertile seeds, things didn't look good for this Daisy-bush. However fortune shone on this pretty little shrub, and it found favour with the local Friends of Jan Juc group. Now plants taken as cuttings of this beauty grow alongside the original plant, which can still be seen today along the clifftop walk.

This Olearia has similar blue-grey foliage to the larger more robust Coast Daisy-bush, but has smaller leaves and lacks the fragrance of the larger cousin.
