Onion Grass is a small herb with long and slender, but very tough and wiry leaves which are produced annually from a pea-sized corm. The narrow leaves are easily identified by the groove running along its length. Native to South Africa, Onion Grass can be found in literally any area of disturbed soil and is very difficult to control given the wiry narrowness of its leaves and bulbs to hold the plant in the ground and resist herbicide treatment.
