Flowering occurs from June to November.
Flowers are tubular, translucent pale green sometimes with a maroon tinge; arranged in a dense upright cluster usually on old wood; when mature are swollen with honey-fragrant nectar.
Numerous birds including Crimson Rosellas and iEastern Spinebills have been observed visiting the flowers.
