Gazania is a low-growing mat-forming or clumping perennial daisy from southern Africa but is now a weed in many countries across the world.
Its leaves can be variable, sometimes whole and sometimes toothed but is easily distinguished by the bright green on top and silvery-grey on the bottom.
The plant produces large, daisy-like flower-heads in shades of bright yellow and orange, although the colours may vary in cultivated specimens.
This species is a high threat weed of the Jan Juc clifftops and surrounds. Significant resources have been spent reducing the distribution on the clifftops and on adjacent roadsides.
