Common Raspwort
Gonocarpus tetragynus

Attractive green herb common to this coastline. Preferring well drained soils in dry forests and heathland, the leaves have toothed edges and come in opposite pairs which cross over up the stem (decussate).

Growing to 10-30cm in height and spreading over the ground, very small flowers are red in appearance and start to bloom in Spring.
